Brilliant work Buck, he's looking very old. I especially like his long spindly hands. Will watch this thread closely, i wish I could sculpt.

Amazing Bart! It's brilliant how much of a difference a black wash can make to a model.

Well, he's as good as finished now...
Only the hanging branches to attach...
Hope this will look great when done :)

The quality of the pic is bad, and I know, I can say whatever I want, but the pic doesn't do his eyes justice! ;)

Baroooom! Though Isengard be ringed and barred with doors of stone;
Though Isengard be strong and hard, as cold as stone and bare as bone,
We go, we go, we go to war, to hew the stone and break the door!

Awesome. 8)

Thanks :) Still working on the branches now, but meanwhile I've started something else aswell...

A backgroundwall for a Moria-battleboard... Well, more like a showcase-wall for my dwarves...
(don't dare asking me where I'm gonna store it... Gf's reaction: :? )

It's 75cm wide, and 24cm high... so far ... ;)

Excellent idea Bart. I can't wait to see how it turns out, especially with your dwarf army on display.

This is going to be an interesting piece. Good start so far, can't wait to see more. It's a good idea to make a stall for your models actually.

Thanks guys! :)
As soon as I posted this I was thinking that I had better put a warning on this thread for "contains messy scenery making" since I can't even thouch it anymore... the PVA is dripping off and as soon as I move it, things will reshape... (not that I went into millimeterwork though, heh). I'm betting that most of the excellent scenery-makers will cover their eyes when seeing my progress, lol. The stairs took like 2 minutes all three together... 1 minute to cut out the foamboard pieces, and another to hot-wire the steps...

Tomorow I hope to make three door-entrances and then fill up the box with PU-foamspray... Will see how that turns out...

It was indeed Oldman Willow's work that made me decide to make this, and I'm glad his wonderfull work has given me that energyboost I needed!
I'm a bit forcing myself now to actually to finish it so I can make a nice battle-company shot for Erunion aswell (if it turns out good enough).

It's been a long time since I made some scenery! Must be more then 4 years by now (appart from a diorama..)!

One hell of a diorama though, if it's the House of Tom Bombadil one I'm thinking of.

It doesn't always have to be millimeterwork! Rough things can look great to! And a lick of paint always helps out!
I must say it's really nice to make some terrain now and then inbetween all the painting. Trying to keep myself away from it. As it takes lots of space.. and i don't got the paints for it now.
