It's a game that is taking my country (Aussie-land) by storm at the moment. Not sure if you've seen it, but it's a Steampunk fleet game, with land, air and sea forces fighting it out in Victorian times. It's a bit like "Jules Verne" meets "Wallace and Gromit."

I have two forces on the go at the moment, with the Prussian fleet up against the Federated States of America. I have some paddle wheel driven ironclads, some armoured airships and a massive double decker aircraft carrier - brilliant stuff and really affordable models too. A starter fleet (13 ships, 2 large aircraft and 10 smaller aircraft) plus the rule book could be bought for about £60 - great value.

I also like this game, but I didnt start it yet, cause I still have a lot of work with my lotr armies. I decided, when I will finish all of them, I begin this game, cause I really like the steampunk world.
If it possible, could you show us some pics about your models?

Here are the two that I have finished. I have a number of other ships half-finished too and will post pics of them when they are done.

Amazing. How long is this take to you to finish the paint? Is it fast with some wash? Which do you use?

A buddy of mine bought some of the minis and rulebooks. He said the game looks really solid, but he's having trouble finding local opponents. (He lives hours away from me, or I would be tempted to give it a try.)

These two are very large ships for this game (12cm long) and most of the other ships are about 4 or 5cm long. There's a lot of detail to paint in (windows, doors, etc) so these took me several hours to paint, but the other ships will be much quicker. I used a brown ink wash over a base coat of Bleached Bone on the timber deck to get a shaded effect, and then drybrushed it with Desert Yellow (actually, I used Vallejo paints instead of GW but it doesn't matter). I used a blue ink wash over Boltgun Metal on the paddle steamer to give it a gun-metal tint, and then drybrushed with Chainmail (using GW paints).

Looks interesting. I'm not a fan of steampunk but I am starting to like the look of that ship!
