Hi all,

I've posted up the first batrep of our BFG-Starwars campaign, between the Imperial Navy and the Rebel Alliance, here:

http://roughwotr.blogspot.com/2011/06/b ... le-of.html

We decided to keep things simple and just match Imperial ships to the IN lists (ISDs are Emperors, Venators are Dictators or Overlords, Escorts are Nebulon Bs etc) and the Chaos lists (Winged Mon Cal Cruiser is a Despoiler, Assault Frigates are Carnages, Escort Carriers are IN Defiance class etc) and play using modified campaign rules. The only change we made to the lists was to allow a little swapping of some ship classes so everything could be modelled and we count four escorts as a cruiser for Battleship/GC ratios.

Its been good fun so far. After this class, the Rebels took on some Chiss insurgents and beat them soundly. An Imperial battlegroup, led by the ISD Dominion, closes on outlying Chiss positions as I type this...

The ISD Dominion returned to base just in time to prevent its loss to a rapid Chiss strike. Chiss commander Than has joined the fray.

They can be. However, BFG is not. The game engine is actually pretty simple and fun and has the advantage of being available from the GW website.

Cheers

Things have been pretty busy but some progress on the BFG front has been made.

Chiss campaign Turn 8 finally sees some action:

The Vaagari 1st and 2nd Fleets perform a combined assault on the Imperial occupied world of Csilla, defended by the Imperial 1st Fleet
The Chiss 1st Fleet assaults the Vaagari Hombase system of Cormit
The Chiss 2nd Fleet assaults the now poorly defended Imperial Cam'co system.
The Rebels liberate Oyokol
The Imperials occupy Kinoss

The full report of the engagement at CamÇo, along with an updated campaign map (to the start of turn 8 ) is here: http://roughwotr.blogspot.com/2011/07/bfg-star-wars-batrep-battle-at-camco.html

Cheers

I love the whole idea of the space board, with all the planets and the rocks!
