Changes

Hi all.

I haven't logged in here in quite a few years now, and the whole place has changed. I had uploaded a few images and they seem to have gone. Have they been deleted because of the time I have been inactive, or because of the forum overhaul?

What was the purpose of the change to the forum? It looked pretty cool before and now it's pretty plain and kind of institutionalised, and it appears there are feature missing, or at least they are harder to get to.

Hey mate,
The problem is that some fool hacked the website getting their grubby little fingers into all our bits and pieces so Alan (Dagorlad) had to reset the site hence the missing features, pictures etc etc...
He's working on getting the site back to normal so hang in there and I'm sure it will be just as awesome, if not better, as it used to be.

A tip: if your looking for the article section its in the links on the top right labelled "Tomes of Wisdom" it took me a month to work out they were there ^^

Hi thedarklord and welcome back.

As several of our ever-vigilant members have pointed out, the site is under construction (reconstruction) at the moment due to an unfortunate incident involving a hacker at the end of last year.

I have added the key features back in to the site (the article library and the gallery), but they are in a very raw format and everyone lost their images from their galleries. Sorry. My next task is to fix up the 'look and feel' of the place. But it's hard and complex, and at the moment I am in the middle of organising the biggest gaming convention seen in my city for several years, so my spare time is zero up until Easter.

But it's my number 1 priority after that's over and done with.

Thanks Captain, it's going to be a blast!

I'll get back to sorting the website after Easter and hopefully we can get the One Ring Awards back in full swing this year too.

Hey Alan, I moonlight as a web-designer with a solid knowledge of XHTML/CSS and PHP/SQL. If there really is anything I can do, just give me a shout... I'd be glad to help! Good luck organising that convention in Adelaide... sounds like it'll be just awesome (:
