I don't really get what all of the critiscm is for, this seemed like a good release. If I were still in the hobby I'd be dying for that Cave Drake and all of the others are quite nice as well. :)

Well, I like 'em.

I think that the kings champion really isn't a lot different from one of the existing dwarf captains, especially in regard to the so-called romanesque helmet.
Remember, the high elf warriors have helmets that are uncannily like those of greek hoplites.... :P

And the cave drake is awesome! it even has the quintessential snakelike jaw, which would indicate that it can easily swallow people whole.

I already pre-ordered the king's champion yesterday. :D

Its really nice to read some other members be positive about the new releases! I for one have preordered all of them and cant wait to get started on the Cave Drake. The odd release is average, but never bad. Looking forward to wednesday or thursday as they always arrive before the release day. :-D

You have to make an account with photobucket, and then you can upload pictures and paste the url they give you in between the img tags on your post.
I haven't done much picture stuff onto the internet before, so if you need more help I'll try my best, but someone else will probably help you more anyway. :-D Gotta love having a friendly forum. 8)

YES, new releases have just arrived. first thoughts, the Cave drake is going to be easy to assemble, the long hair like talons on the head are moulded on so you dont have to glue them, the head is split in 2 straight down and joins onto the tounge which is already moulded to the neck, the Perry Brothers have really thought about this one.

The Kings Champion is brilliant, full of character, the axes are moulded seperatly as are the shields. Holes predrilled into the Campion to fit the axes. the feet for all 3 are on small metal flat bases to allow for easy fixing.

The Goblins are slightly larger than the old ones, nicer for it. Just noticed the oblin Drum Holder, one of the funeist figure yet to come out.

All in all a really good release and cant wait to get started gluing and painting!

Although the goblin drum is ridiculosly unrealistic, I just really love it for some reason. Does it have the same rules as the current goblin drum?

Had a look at the new goblins yesterday. They are huge. Bigger than most of the orc minis. They would even tower over the Goblin King Durburz had he not been standing on his rock.

I know they are elites, but really?

I don't think it's intentional, there seems to be a height creep as the years have gone by. Try comparing a captain of minas tirith to the numenoreans, huge difference in height.

All the models from the Last Alliance set are small, which is silly as they should be the biggest; the Numenoreans were 7ft tall!

a question for anyone who has got the Cave Drake, does your model have the Horn sticking out below the lower jaw?
Mine does not, I know they change the product sometimes with moulding problems, but I was wondering if I may have got a defective casting?

Its not a major problem as i will simply mould it out of green stuff.
