A very neat little article.
I would probably make a couple of small modifications: I would carefully shave a bit off the drumsticks to make them thinner, and add a small blob of greenstuff to the end of each.
using 2 minis to get one drummer seems a shade wasteful so you might find a way of using another uruk, stripping off the weapons, drill the hands and insert wire or fine plastic rod for the drumsticks.
The only tweak for the drum would be to add a strap or something to suggest how it is attached to the uruk.
Well done!

very nice, very simple. Good article. I agree with Dorth though, that, instead of using the pikeman I would just have drilled the empty hand and the sword. It could be a good way of using the inevitable broken pikeman though.

I like your article!

I've also had the idea to make a drummer but in contrast to yours mine isn't finished yet...

I only send a picture of mine because I think it's more the way Dorthonion wants a drummer to be

Anyway it's good to see a new article 8)

Greetings!

It seems rather unlikely to me that an Uruk-hai drummer would care a lot about a semi-professional musical kit; those undressed sticks seem to match better with his unmannerly nature. On the other hand, drumming all the way from Isengard to Helm’s Deep with these rough ends, he’s surely going to wear out a few drumheads…

Nice article, good results with the use of simple materials!

It looks really good. What did you use to glue it to the miniature?

I used some plastic glue to glue the hands on the arms, but to glue the drum on on the uruk I used some PVA glue, because the plastic glue melts the polystyrene
