At last, pictures of the Mordor Uruk-hai. They look pretty good! And Theoden looks wicked! :-D

yeah the new mordor uruks rule!

the citadel guard aren't that special, they are pretty much the old ones, with arm changes and head turns - shame really - they could have done so much more.

the hasharin is quite good IMO, he looks lethal - as an assassin should.

theoden looks too much like the old one, so i won't be getting him. It just looks like they took off his helmet and decided to resell him.

the WK rocks, new fire sword, looks pure evil and menacing - I will definatley be getting him.

new army of the dead banner bearer is quite good - I might get him.

I think the Citadel guard actually look better than their predecessors, because they now have poses that represent their position in Minas Tirith - guards.

The TTT Theoden (On Horse unarmoured and the one waving his sword about on foot) has been put in the collectors range.

So Still available, but It would have to be ordered, like the Dioramas.

The Hasharin is terrible!

Assassin, daggers? He looks like he has foam swords...

So much for being dynamic.

The Mordor Uruks are nice, good to see more with two-handed weapons, but still none with shields. It's an easy fix though.

yep - I like the fact that now you can have 2 x 2H weapons and 1 sword rather than 1 2H weapon and 2 swords - good idea.

...and I really like the sculpts :-D

just a quick comparison:

ImageImage

The only difference is the fact that the sword and staff are in opposite hands, and gandalf is facing the left rather than the right. Apart from this, they are identical.

Yes, it's amazing how two sculptors came up with near identical poses for a miniature isn't it.

It's not even like there is a film for them to use as reference...

:P

Wave two is nice. Mordor Uruks are good, so is theoden and the shieldbearer. Gandalf's horse has square muscles but the pose is nice and dynamic. Hasharin pose is as dynamic as a sheet of paper... Citadel Guard couldn't really have been changed much - they seem Ok to me. Witch-King... sword looks silly and flames are bad. Pose isn't too bad.

Gandalf looks sick
and i'm sure the square muscles can be fixed with putty or something...
But where's the picture of the witchking? like what page is it on?
dwarf model looks really stupid as does the ent(everyone agrees on that one...)
the galadhrim could use a little more effort
Otherwise nice minis

Mr. Gondorian: Never mind that, my lad. I wish to complain about this horse what I purchased not half an hour ago from this very boutique.

Mr. Gondorian: I'll tell you what's wrong with it, my lad. 'E's dead, that's what's wrong with it!

Owner: No, no, 'e's uh,...he's resting.

Mr. Gondorian: Listen I know a dead horse when I see one and this is definitely dead.

Owner: 'E's pinin' for the plains of Rohan.

Mr. Gondorian: Pinin' for the plains?! No, this is one dead horse. He's passed on. Kicked the bucket.

Funny lol :-D

The citadel guard look ok, but i cant understand why they would release a new pose for them if they were just going to have them look a lot like the old ones? The new gandalf looks good, but with the square muscles on the horse, i think we can all agree that ebobs looks much better, although for those who are are not as bless with the ability to sculpt, the new gandalf is a nice change from the old one. But over all i think all the models they released are finally getting away from the WH feel which is great!
