A pillar marking the place where Durin I first looked into Mirrormere. Durin's Stone was a column carved with runes. It was located in the Dimrill Dale on the lakeshore near the road to the East-gate of Khazad-dum.

When Durin I came to the Dimrill Dale in ancient times, he looked into Mirrormere and saw a crown of stars appear above his reflection in the water. Afterwards, a person looking into Mirrormere near Durin's Stone might be able to see the stars of Durin's Crown even in daylight.

Hmmm, better make my answers less copy+paste noticeable.

My turn!

Name the Towers of the Teeth, say who built them, and why.

What were the former names of Minas Tirith and Minas Morgul, and what did they mean.

How long was the Rammas Echor, and what does it's name mean?

You misspelled encircling, therefore, you're wrong.

Seriously though, a "J" is no harm. Your turn Sean.

What were the three sub-kingdoms of Arnor?

Rowlie Appledore
Man of Bree. Rowlie Appledore was killed during the fighting between the Bree-folk and the Southerners early in the New Year of 3019. Mat Heathertoes, Tom Pickthorn, Willie Banks, and one of the Underhills from Staddle were also killed. The Southerners were expelled from the town along with Bill Ferny and Harry Goatleaf who had sided with them.
