Any one know if there is going to be a lord of the ring online expation

Currently, there is just the basic game and the expansion "Shadows of Angmar", which now you can only buy them both in a single CD (well, 2 actually). There will be more expansions to cover the rest of Middle-earth though, because currently you only can travel in the northern half of Eriador and Angmar.

...not that I've actually played it yet...I still have about 3,000 more updates left to download before I can play :roll:

...at least that number's down from the initial 7,750 :wink:

lol i had that problem it took a full day to down load it i have been playing for 4 months now just asking about if there actually will be more places to go

Whenever the expansions come out, they will either expand the explorable areas east or south, making you able to go into Wilderland or Dunland/Rohan, etc.

I can only download tiny bits at once...really bad/slow connection :roll:

From what i've played of LOTR Online I must say that it is one of the most enjoyable games to play, especially for a Tolkien fan. I believe that the designers are currently creating locations within Angmar as Tolkien didn't write much about the area so that there is more to visit in Angmar. I'm sure with the current popularity among gamers and reviews that LOTR Online will continue to expand beyond Eriador and Angmar

its almost the same as world of war craft but better graphics and its lord of the rings
yes you have to pay 10 dolars a month

There was a expansion released on November 18th called the Mines of Moria.

So the question has been answered but I will chime in and say that I love game. Started playing about a month ago and love the game world. It's also extremely new user friendly. The community in the game is wonderful as well (Ask a question and I always get a polite answer). It's not perfect but I highly recommend trying it out (I believe there is a ten day trail out there).

I'm on the 10-day trial for mines of moria.

I like the game, it's an awesome idea, but it lags like @#$%! :-X

I didn't really enjoy wasting a whole day on waiting for the full game to download either...
