That's a nice paint job. I like the orange highlights, gives the armour a warmer feel and look. an interesting take in the colour scheme. Keep us updated with your work.

The sergeant is nicely posed as well.

Looks very nice. 8)

Perhaps a wash to give the power armor a little more depth? I think that would make the mini look even better. :)

thanks for the feedback guys! i was thinking that i might try and add some shading maybe do some quite harsh black lining.
yeah sure no problem it was all vmc paints for the armour, flat red light orange and flat yellow.

2 orange 1 red

working up to orange

working up to yellow

tiny bit of white in the mix to finish it off

Looks nice so far. Though I'll second a wash on the armor :)

I don't think it needs a wash, as that will ruin the blending effect that he's chosen to use with the armour. I do agree that you probably do need to blackline the armour though, as the armour is just a sea of red (a pleasing sea though :-D), with no definition.

Some very nice work though!

I should have been more specific...I meant a wash directly into the recesses, not over the entire surface

thanks for the feedback guys i think im going to go for a middle ground haha. just water down some chaos black and paint it into the recesses so its not too harsh but still adds the definition. i think i need to take some more pictures though as they dont really show the colour of the recesses like they irl.
thanks again

Forgot to mention...absolutely ace job on the skin! How'd you do it?

You've made a lot of improvement since your last miniatures 8)

thanks anduril! im really pleased with the skin as i didnt spend much time on it, it was sort of rushed, it was the last thing i did after painting the whole thing in one sitting!
but anyway i started with a white basecoat. washed with brown ink. dwarf flesh leaving the ink in the deepest recesses, elf flesh then i think i may of added a bit of bleached bone bt i dont really remember

Great work, I particularly like the faces. The design on the top of the rhino also looks great, however the paint on the other design looks really thick. Still, great work on the Blood Angels so far. 8)

Your improvement in the last few months, since you first posted your AOBR stuff, is absolutely phenomenal.

Your freehand looks excellent, I've given up trying freehand as I screw it up every time  . The skin on all of the miniatures is excellent, which is especially good as the face is usually the focus point on a miniature. An excellent job on all of them!

Yeah, you've improved a lot - the troops are very well painted and the freehand is excellent, keep it up! 8)
