Great entries and a hard choice this month, Kevins cape on Gil-galad sealed my vote aswell as the face, just amazing. Although Damians facework on his Haldir had me torn. Great work by everyone on the whole tho. |

In the end I had to vote for Nayfan's Legolas. While it may not be as well painted as Minimal Monkey Saddle's or as well based as Dead Marsh Spectre's, the amount of detail he managed to pull out of that plastic sculpt is incredible. But well done to everyone who participated, and may the best Dwarf win.... |

Great work by everyone again. MMS was the stand out. Exceptional painting. DMS's base is one of the best I have seen in these challenges. All the Haldir's are brilliant also - I honestly couldn't pick between them. Well done everyone! |

These are ALL very well done, and it was very difficult to find just one to pick. However I really enjoyed the freehand work on Legolas31's Haldir so my vote went there. Seriously great work in here this month!! |

I went for Green_Dragon's. For some reason I just didn't quite like mms's this time, and dms's was good, but not his best work. |

Damian, Haldir's face looks brilliant! Minimal Monkey Saddle you have an excellent all round legolas, the base and tunic shading both look great! |

Wow, this month had some amazing entries. I had to go with MMS, just because he painted the face more realistically than DMS. It was very close this month. |

I voted MMS, amazing attention to detail and a very, very nice base. Runner up was DMS, but I prefer MMS's darker, less colourful mini. Just a matter of personal taste though. Garmenhord, I think your mini could benefit a lot from a matt varnish or something, he is just far too shiny, even though the actual painting is very nice. Very nice entries everyone! (and that I forgot to take part myself) |

I loved MMS's entry, and Damian's Haldir. And of course, DMS was awesome as usual. But my vote goes to Garmenhord. I think this one is your best ever. -- Pasi |

valpas wrote: But my vote goes to garmenhord. I think this one is your best ever. I completely agree! The basing is great, the painting is improving as usual and the bowstring was a nice touch. Loads of other great entries too! MMS, I love the realistic, gritty look to the model. The pale skin tone is brilliantly done and the muddy base with leaves looks great. DMS, fantastic as usual and the basing is creative and well executed. General Elessar, as with garmenhord, I can see your painting has improved from this piece. Great work, I just think the face could do with some more shading and it would look even better. cal, one of your best yet. The painting and basing is nicely done and the eyes look great. Kevin, as always with your pieces this is brilliant. The freehand is top notch. Legolas31, I like the look of your Haldir. The gold and the freehand pattern looks good but I think the small images may have detracted from a great entry. Pasi, your Legolas and Gimli look great as with all of your paintings. There's just something about Legolas' face that doesn't look right to me, though I'm pretty sure it's the sculpt rather than your painting. Pow and Green_Dragon, both great looking Haldir models with good bases. The gold and reds on each look well done. Whilst Pow's look appropriately weathered for battle in Middle-earth, GD's look brilliantly clean and 'perfect' as I imagine Elf armour pre-battle. Nayfan and RidersOfTheMark, I think you've both done an excellent job making a plastic model with little detail look very detailed. My vote this month however goes to Damian. The gold looks so pure and the highlights all over (especially those on the cape) are incredibly smooth and well executed. The face too, looks amazing. Well done to everyone once again. Another great month of painting from all. |

@Telchar: I used matt varnish - i need Photography lessons! the flash is what makes him shine not the varnish @valpas: Ty for the vote. Mine went to Green_Dragon's Haldir, Nice to hear that I am improving at least a little bit Sometimes it just might be being lucky to @others: Nice entry's keep on painting them! It's nice to see all the great stuff coming out of ur paintwork. |

I just couldn't make the mini look right and I really don't know what the problem was. Legolas just doesn't work for me, sometimes a perfectly good sculpt just doesn't work. But he's OK for tabletop quality, which is always good enough for me. But I'm happy there were so many really awesome Legolases for this month's voting! -- Pasi |
