I like the warband option. Good way to get more models finished. 8) I like the idea of min. of 8 max of 12 + leader.

I have a question. What if you were painting a mounted hero and only had one box of cavalry troops? That would only be 6 + the leader. Would that be ok, or should you add some foot models to that?

Glad you brought that up Wah Wing!

Shall we then define a 'warband' as:

1 Hero and 6-12 Units (Cavalry)
1 Hero and 8-12 Units (Infantry)

Thanks, Shieldmaiden. I like that idea, 6-12 and 8-12 units, cavalry and infantry respectively. 8)

Just a thought, how will the entrant prove that the project was started for the competition and not an already completed piece?

That sounds great to me.

Painting Challenge Rules wrote:
2. To enter the painting challenge, the miniature you are painting must not be painted before starting and picture proof must be shown of the miniature 'pre-painted' (unprimed, undercoated or if you are repainting and old miniature - in its' original paint scheme) otherwise your entry will not be eligible.

Usually it is preferred for the proof picture to be taken in front of your computer screen with that months thread in the background, though it is not something we force.
