I ask this from those guys, who play whit gondor. A MT warrior is very cheap (25p), it has a massive defence, and good courage. I play with mordor. So, what is the week point :?: Its a WOTR question, of course.

I played a few times againt gondor, and I usually destroyed by them. I need to change my tactics.

They don't have Ringwraiths or Gothmog

Yeah... Gondor doesn't have magics (Expect from allies)... A good way it to use ringwraiths...
Also althought their high defense they have less strength...

That's basically it. The better Ringwraiths provide a huge lift to combat performance and the rest are still very useful due to access to the Darkenss list.

Then you have the same 25pt high defense troops (which are better vs some other armies but not generally Gondor), which you then lead with your courage 5 heroes. Plain old Orcs with 2HW are also very good with Ringwraith assistance. I like some of the other units like morgul Knights and Black-Guard of Barad-Dur too.

Even without the top-tier Wraiths, you can still do a lot to control the battle through 1. Pall of Night to prevent charges (the only way to prevent this is o use might or go second and unser Wilderness counter-spells) 2. Wings of Terror to allow large flanking moves and long-range charges (countered only by Wilderness spells) 3. and then you have other useful spells like 'Strength from corruption', 'terrifying aura' (actually quite useful vs Gondor if you bring the Tainted), 'visions of woe' (with the Tainted).

Gothmog is generally employed to shadow to really effective duelers like Boromir and Aragorn and mic their actions and try and take them down before they hit their target.

If Gondor has large formations they are their own enemy as they will be prone to side and rear attacks.
Avenger Siege bows and Trebuchets can be destroyed with spells quite easily.
I fear fighting D8 units or enfeebled vs. D7 units.
I fear losing courage either by losing an Inspiring Hero leader nearby or the Tainted.
I fear spells of Darkness.
I fear Extremely Hard to Kill Monsters.
I fear not being able to hit my enemy at range.

Gondor doesn't have direct access to spellcasting, nor does it have quite as much variation.

Here is my 1000 points army list, soon we will do a competition, on the good side there will be 2 gondor, an elf and a dwarf army.
My army:
-3C Black Guard-cap,bann
-6C Morannon- Gothmog
-5C Orc- taskmaster
-4C Morannon- drum
-5C Warg- taskm., drum
-Troll

Of course I give shields for everyone.

The Black Guard, and the Gothmog formations will be the main formations, the Orcs will defence the main on the left side. The smaller morannon and the troll will be another team, which I will use to attack rear or flank. The wargs will charge further on the other side.
