Post subject:  Calvary Command Companies
pg. 68 "Fielding Epic Heros", One Epic Hero per Calvary company, I understand that part.
Is a Banner Bearer/Hornblower/Captain considered a normal warrior? That part confused me since it had an example where they were not 'normal' (ie. not Hero's or upgrades).
Can you have an Epic Hero with a Banner/Hornbower/Captain?
Can you have a Banner and a Captain in the same company?

Anything with might is a hero. Banners and hornblowers are not heroes, they are upgrades and are just considered normal warriors in combat.

No, only non-upgraded models count, as you have surmised

Not in a cav company, no.

Yes, as the restriction applies only to epic heroes.

As has been said, a hornblower, a captain and a banner bearer are upgrade - I.E. Not normal.

You CAN have an Epic Hero in a cavalry formation with a Banner/Blower/Captain, but they cannot be in the same company as any of them because then there would be more Epic Heroes in the company than normal warriors.

Banner and Captain/hornblower can be in the same company.

Really stupid because on the front of the war of the ring rulebook erkenbrand is with gandalf in one company :P

don't worry, their formation is deployed in a wedge formation which you can't do in the game either.

Rules take back seat to a cool photo :D

To be honest, we tend to ignore that rule anyway. It isn't even a houserule, more a matter of making visual sense!

Well I wouldn't be doing it to stack up Aragorn and Gimli in there, but at the moment Faramir can't even lead the formation from the front if there is a banner! That is a bit of a design fail right there.
