The same as SBG.
You can do Evil vs Evil or Good vs Good, but the game is designed for Good vs Evil.

I took my Rohan army against my wife's Galadhrim in a small 500pts battle and it was a very close game that ended in a tie.

Always risky though...hopefully you're both pretty evenly matched and have a fair share of win/loss. Though my wife doesn't play LotR (but supports and encourages the hobby 8) ), we do enjoy several board-based strategy and puzzle games. I'm very happy that she's good because she'd know very easily if I was "pulling punches" and that would make her pretty mad, but at the same time if one of us always beat the other it gets discouraging fast (and can lead to bad feelings :-X ). What ever you do though, if you win...NEVER gloat to your significant other.

Yeah, I did a 1500 point Dol Amroth (using gondor warriors for proxies for M@A of Dol Amroth) vs 1500 Elves with a mix of High Elves, Wood Elves and a single Ent. The scenario we rolled was that "kill points" witl long deployment edgs.

my list was 4 companies Foot Swans Banner, Champ.
2 x 5 M@A DA Banner, Champ
1 x 6 Mounted Knights, Banner Champ
3 x 2 Rangers of Gondor
Prince Imrahil (my only fiefdoms epic hero)

By the end of turn 6 I had lost maybe 8-9 companies and the Elves had 1.5 companies of wood elves.

Just because we love Tolkien and play with little toy soldiers at the age of 40 doesn't mean we're TOTAL social failures. :o
