The images I choose for avatar all don't seem to work. Does it have to be a specific type of image or are there other rules?

Okay, I checked things out and it looks like it still works. Three things to be aware of. One, make sure the image comes from an image hosting site like imgur or photo-bucket (old photo-bucket I mean) and won't have any anti-sharing stuff in its links. Two, try to open the image in a new tab (by right clicking on the image and using the drop down menu) and use that url instead of the main webpage with the image. Third, set the ratio of the image to 200 in both of the little boxes under the url input bar on the avatar page. If all those three things are done right, it should work.
