Thats actually something really vital for the site, some mails are needed as archive for some times and many new coming every day, i agree 25 are a little too few

as much as i love this site, its always been a pain with such a small private message capacity, would there be any way of improving it to say 50 like tla? |

All those messages take up space in the server which Dagorlad pays for. If you really need to keep more than 25 messages then do what I do and copy and paste them to a word file on your computer. |
