The title of this thread intrigued me (nothing like a good bit of intrigue on a Friday night).
I thought initially that this was the answer to some quiz question ... showing my age again (I remember Young Master Gandalf - he was a scallywag in the early days, turning people into frogs, how we laughed...)
I sense that this is another manifestation of the so-called txt-speak, spreading like a dark shadow from Mordor, covering all the lands in abbreviated gibberish. Old recalcitrants like me prefer the richness that language can bring. '+1' is fine in a mathematical setting but can be a bit of a nuisance elsewhere, especially as, like many of these slang terms, it can have more than one meaning and therefore is interpreted subjectively by every individual based on their own knowledge. Little things like that can turn out to be insulting in some cultures (I am not giving any examples as some twit may think it amusing to try them out). If it's insults you want, I am available to insult you at very reasonable rates
And I also add my appreciation for all that Dagorlad, the rest of the admins and mods and you guys bring to this place - time and effort going in to make it run well so we can share our hopes, thoughts and creative efforts based on the wonderful world that The Professor created (Tolkien, not Moriarty...
