The winner will be given a Purple name on the forums (in the same way that my name is Green) and receive a pack of our limited edition Purple One Ring dice, available only to the winners of these awards. Voting will be open for 10 days. Best of luck to all of you, may the best Dwarf win. |

I wish I had 5 votes for this category! In the end I went for Old Man Willow because the sheer volume of high quality pictures he takes is both entertaining and useful, and the work he's taking pictures of is also very high quality (although that's for another award I guess!). |

Tough to judge, given the number of very high quality posters on the site. |

This is possibly the hardest category to vote for i think. Every nominee barring myself (I have no idea why i'm there lol) is an asset to the site and posts of the highest quality day in day out. I am torn between Dr Grant and Whafrog as these two consistently offer excellent advice and knowledge of the game to beginners and veterans respectively. |

Thanks all for the nomination, but I have to go with Dr Grant. He's consistently thorough, insightful, and covers a far broader variety of topics. |

Whafrog, you are a scholar and a gentleman, I've always thought you give some of the most measured and insightful advice on this forum (not to mention CLEARLY having the best avatar ) so to hear your comments is very much appreciated. I also nominated you in the nominations thread so it would be somewhat disingenuous of me not to vote for you now (even if it does put you back in the lead!). Good luck to you and indeed to all those nominated, great posters all. *Crosses fingers and prays he doesn't come 1 vote behind Whafrog…* |

Having had the displeasure of meeting Dr. Grant in the 'flesh' I must warn everyone that he really does not carry himself with the same grace he does around here - he has accused me of being an alcohol abuser and I am 99% sure he cheats and to be honest I wouldn't vote for him if my life depended on it. Terrible person. I think everyone else on the list is great though, BlackMist's insight is always worth a hoot because he has been playing the game forever so everything he says is weighted with years of experience, and whafrog seems to be able to help out experience players and total newcomers alike. JamesR also probably deserves more votes, I see him explain the same old rule nuances to new members all the time without ever doing it in a patronising manner. I am sure Oldman Willow and DMS are like Jesus to the artistically minded members of the site but sadly I am a grunt whose chief concern is rolling dice and takin names, but the amount of threads I have seen where an obscure, difficult question has been answered in depth by those two is probably in the triple figures so good job! |

This one is too difficult to do, as it is so broad. I've not known Galndlaf, Dr. Grant or Mertaal very well and have missed out on a great number of their posts. As far as tactics go, whafrog and Beowulf have it nailed down. DMS's painting is top notch, and looking through one of his wips is incredible in its' complexity and depth. Bilbo of the White Tower was always funny, kind and humble. He's gone now, and the site is left with a vacancy for it. |

Went for whafrog, purely because I remember the help he gave me when I first joined, and out of everyone around back then, he has remained an unceasing and steadfast presence, especially in the Gaming area of the forums, where I am most active. |

This is amazing! Thanks so much for the votes and support guys, more than happy to share this award with the mighty Whafrog, it's been great fun watching the votes creep up each day, we've been neck and neck throughout so it's great that neither of us loses out! Thanks again! |
