How do you do mold on rocks/trees/ruins?

Green Paint/ink wash?

Green paint drybrush?

Greenish flocking?

Brown and green ink washes. Or, water down your preferable green colour and wash it over - like what DMS said.

Try using some fine earth blend mixed with a Matt medium (vallego) and apply that, it will create some texture to the moss effect.
