Many years ago there was a small contest in a GW shop. The target was to change a Hobbit using Green Stuff and give him some Xmas-Flair. Here is my model of Sam in a Xmas attitude.

I decided to show him in the forum in December this year. Maybe You have own miniatures modified in a soimilar way? Fell free to post them here, if you like.

Nothing new yet, but after Xmas I will post some pictures of simple painted warrior models.

One group are wood elves from Lothlorien, the old miniatures. Thes are done, I just have to take pictures. The other group are berserkers and Uruk Hai pioneers from Isengard. These are nearly finished but some grass on the bases.

And as I wrote in the new title of this topic: I will try to post more of my projects, and with picture showing the before and after look of the models.

Merry Xmas - and Health and a better next year for us all in 2021!

Thank you Mr Gimli. It took a while, but yesterday I found the time to take some pictures.

Here are my Wood Elves from Lothlorien. There are one group witrh spears and one with bows, both comanded by a captain. The painting was mostly not shaded, but the use use of inks gave a nice effect and prevented a dull look. On the bases I put same paper leaves to give them a woody aspect.

And these are my Uruk Hai. they consist of two and a half bomb teams (one Uruk pioneer is missing) an many berzerkers, some of them are carrying torches. Most of them are bought at ebay, all of them are used. One berzerker had lost his arm, the pre-owner hat painted him a bloody stum, but I replaced it by an orc arm together with a metal torch. aybe you can spot him in the picture.

The ruin in the background was a gimmick from the Miniature Wargames Magazin, a paper craft, but I made the walls a little thicker by a thin layer of styrofoam.

And now a before-picture of my next project, Warg riders:

The orc in front ist a shaman, hard to see, even harder by his black priming.

A bloody stump. Hadn't thought about that for missing weapons. That is a menacing group of berzerkers and bomb squads, should be able to force their way in wherever they want. Nice job on the ruined building.

Good stuff, I really like the mix of tones you've used on the wood elves. I have a tendency to paint them all in the same uniform colour which doesn't quite look right.
