So, I've decided to start a wip
I'm back in the hobby after a 5 year hiatus, so im looking for some tips eheh

Recently i bought for 120 € a 65 number collection of deagostini that was released in my country (Portugal) some years ago.
I've already painted to nr5, but im gona lay here all of them from 1 to 65 as my work evolves :-D
Hope you like it and im counting on your help guys :)

ps: as i said, im Portuguese, so the magazines are written in my native tongue... hope that's not a problem xD

Great effort, not to mention an awesome user name!

Your models are looking really great. I would recommend you look in to using some inks. Black ink on the silver armour (followed by a final and very "dry" drybrush of silver).
A bit of brown ink on the red skin before the final highlight, and watered down brown ink on normal skin.
Brown ink on the Gold armour as well, and again you can give a very dry dry brush of pure gold afterwards.
Because the ink runs in to the cracks you'll get a much better definition on the detail, and higher contrast between light and dark.

For other primary colours use the same colour in ink- blue over blue, green over green, etc. If that's not dark enough go in with a smaller amount of green darkened with brown or even a spot of black (but only a small spot), and place it only in the deepest recesses of the model's detail.

Hope that helps a bit. Keep up the good work!

Your men of Numenor are very good, and Lurtz. I don't think you're capturing the shine on the elven armour. Try a brown wash and then highlight the edges of the scales in bright gold.

yep, i also think the elven armour needs some brighter look. I've used dwarf bronze (hashut copper), but i think ill go for the burnished gold (auric armour gold) after the brown wash this time :)

very nice! I really hope you can keep this up, if it were up to me i'd get very bored simply painting the next 'number' every time, instead of just painting what ever I feel like. It is an awesome way of getting yourself to actually finish something before you move on to the next project though, i'm more the butterfly type ;)
