As the title says... Im trying to stay clear of GW's models if I can. When I get to a point where I really cant find a proxy then yeah sure i'll use GW but that is not this day! First up! Black Numenoreans Bit of a kit back of perry miniatures new english army plastics and some fireforge games teutonic knights helms.. I think it rather suits and resembles a piece of artwork I saw once of a Black Numenorean. Not bad! I'm interested to see them painted up, I've been looking for a good Black Numenorean conversion, this may just be what I'll go with, too!

The Perry mini's work really well: so true to scale and realistic. I like the paintjob on the Black Numenorians: dark enough, but not literally black. The helmet growths , however, are War Hammery - and completely unrealistic, a liability in a fight and they draw the eye away from the model as a whole. The rest of the helmet works great for BN....too late to snip and file?

highly recommend using mithril miniatures as well, they did the miniatures for MERP.
