Well, here we go. After a lot of time reading the posts in this forum I think is time to start my own. What I love more about this hobby is making buildings and scenery based in the movies. In this moment I’m working in the White Council pavilion in Rivendel, and for this I think is the best for start this post. Some parts are based in the designs of Celevue that he put in the Scenery post. Some chairs and a table, directly from the Modor Ikea. In a few days I will explain some technics I had started to use in this project, as can be the 3D pen used for exterior reliefs (the interiors I made embossed with a pen because will not be possible to achieve the detail with the pen). I made my own mould for the columns because I don’t have Hirst Arts molds (and I think also that the ones they have don’t match what I expect). Also I make copies of the front of Galadriel with Instant Mold for the statues of the interior pillars. I make a lot of photos of all the process because my idea is to make an article at the end of it. |

I don't often follow terrain projects, but this is sufficiently awesome to have piqued my interest. Excellent stuff! |

Thank you all for the comments , they encourage me to continue improving . I'm really overwhelmed with so many compliments. For you Oldmanwillow , (one of the people from whom I have learned more here ). I do not put pictures of time , but a link to the article I wrote on the forum " laguerradelanillo ". http://www.laguerradelanillo.com/content/view/938/42/ If you want I can try to translate the article for this forum (with my poor English ,but I'll do what I can ). Returning to the thread. I have made some progress in the dome and this is almost finished . Basically I placed a piece of 5mm thick extruded polystyrene (all the rest is made of Depron 3mm) , on the roof , cut into two rings, one outside and another inside (very important is to make some lower mark for matching two parts by placing one inside the other , or they will not feed properly) . I've done this to fix thesmall columns from top to a base that keep them firmly fixed, since the idea is to open this part to get inside , and without this support ring columns were very fragile and easily broken). And now a new part of the building. The dome is just the centrala part on a mountain with other pieces ) . A elfic gazebo is the next. I'm doing it with 1.8mm wire covered with plastic tube that I have in my spare box. I want to make a simple and uncomplicated desing (forgett the porexpan half ball you see below the wire, is only used to support the parts in the assembly, and after will be discarded). Now I have a question and would appreciate your opinion, I have three ways to finish the lower joints, (as you can see in the potos), with nothing, with an ornament with rose form (seen green in the picture, thanks to the box bracelets of my wife ) or with small balls ( blue in the other photo ) . What you think can be the best solution? Any other suggestions will be well received. |
