I really like it so far. The sword looks a little big. Professional sculptors use pre-cast weapons when they work on a new figure be cause they are really hard to do. Bake it and lets see how it turns out.

Ohw - i hope i don't destroy the figure when i take it of.. - and i was thinking - i might be able to cut it into a smaller sword once it's baked...

You could cut them down once its baked, though I dont have any experience with baking clay, i think it would look better if you did it before. But once again i dont have an experience with bake clay.

Try it out and see , if it turns out, thats great if not, you can always make another!

this is a web site with some photos of figures that are ready to molded in metal. They are made from two part epoxy called green stuff.

They also sell armatures that help you get your proportions right. they also have metal weapons that won't melt as long as you follow your baking instructions.

Got another gob painted - not that great probably. Putted some sort of skull on it. lol


This brings my figures left to paint to 5 gobs with spear ; frodo , pipin and gollum. ( And that self made ringwraith.)

don't do that! It looks like a ghostly figure to me.

Look on the link for the armature I was telling you about.Professional sculptors have to study and work very hard to get them just right.
Look at some of the metal weapons when you have a little money.
Make a well or a treeman next. The more you practice the better you will get.

Start of my cave - still needs some green on it - some bushes and stuff like that. Last 4 figures are also waiting to be painted.

The entrance is big enough to put a goblin under it.

On another note your painting has improved tremendously, even from your first post your painting skills are getting better. I like the little skull and crossbones on the spearman.
