Looks great. You could really make it pop if you highlighted the forehead, bridge of nose, cheekbones , top lip and chin with a lighter flesh colour and also the knuckles too.

I'm with Kev, you've done a great job and your brush control is really improving, those eyes are probably your best.
Those little highlights will create that extra edge.
I see your glazing is also improving. As an extra, for the shading in deep areas apply a thin glaze of purple, then a glaze of a dark Blue.
These cold colours really help with the definition when set against the highlights Kev has mentioned.

Some inspiring work! Galadriel looks wonderful. How did you experience painting the white robe? I found it rather difficult :)

Great job. I've been looking through your thread and I must say you've progressed so much already from those first few minis. Well done! :yay:

Elrond is a surprisingly difficult figure to paint but I like what you've done, more great facial work.
Trees look good, just need some thin branches at the top.

You continue to improve very quickly, each model looks better than the one before. Well done on Elrond. And good start on that tree, a few small branches will add a lot to it

Thanks Mally and James :)

Well, I'm going to add sponge to the branches... do you guys think the lack of those small branches will be noticed?

Try this for the rest of the tree. It's the method I used for making my tree on Bag End.

That's probably the best method for making trees :) Thanks Mally!
Unfortunately I don't have the majority of those products, so i'll have to keep to the original plan for this one :S
But now I know how I'll be making my future trees :)

Are you photographing with the flash on? Lots of reflection which is detracting from your paint job.

Could be that buddy. It gives off a lot of white reflective light on the model made all the more obvious as the paint job is black. Have a go at taking the pic outside in natural daylight (not direct sunlight but a shaded area) and see the difference.
