Good idea, but it's a hard effect to get right. Blood is really dark, and may not stand out on the mini. The blood for the blood god GW paint is pretty good though. Dries glossy, and darker depending on how thick it is. Tamiya Red is meant to be good too.

Nice work so far on this. The blood splashes don't look too bad, just a little faint. What are you using ?
I have used GW Blood for the Blood god, it really is great stuff with a very authentic look.

Yeah, well, it was the first time I tried to give the mini some blood effects... I really got to have Blood for the blood god!
I used Army Painter's dragon red on this one

It looks pretty good, blood for the blood god would be a good investment like the others said. I've used it a couple of times and really like it, if you want to see some more pictures of what it looks like, here are some. Just scroll down to about the middle of the page, it's the pictures of the finished troll.viewtopic.php?f=50&t=18247&start=460
hope this helps! Keep up the good work 8)

a good blood effect really brings out the best of a Berserker. something i've used recently on my Berserkers and my Shaman is, before painting the White Hand, paint a "yellow hand" then paint the white thinly over it. looks dirty and much more natural.

Thanks mate
It seems like it was years when I started, but I've only started (after my 8 years hiatus) at March of this year eheh
You guys can't imagine what it feels like to me when I get such good feedback
:-D

That Berserker looks fantastic! You've really done a good job making him look bloody without being unrealistic with it. And that white hand looks good to me, I'm still struggling with those myself

Hey guys. First I'd like to apologise for being away for the last few weeks. New job and new routines gave me a little less time for the hobby, but finally, here I am again

I think my lack of training lately is notorious on these minis here, as I'm not happy with the results (specially on Merry). :-X

Oh well, I hope now on to continue in the same pace as before, so I'll keep improving as always (I hope). :-D
Here are Merry and Pippin :merry: :pippin:

Ok, the faces haven't worked but there is progress. You have nice contrast on Pippins cloak.
Take that forward for your next figures.

I feel like Pippin turned out the best of these two. Merry's face needs a bit more shading on the eyes, and his cloak seems a little flat to me. Good work, though, and keep at it!
