It's vvery easy. I'll use picture ;)

Now would be a nightmare to write it. I hope it will be clear :D
It's all about a smooth layring. You have to choose where you want to have the brightest spot. Then try to put very diluted layer (wet bleending) in order to reduce the diffrences betwen layers.

I hope this is understandable, it's been a long time since i last used english.

Cheers, from Poland ;)

Great looking miniatures.
I was thinking of painting my Grim Hammers in a red color, they look great, but I don't think I will do it myself.

Fantastic painting - all the more so considering the dwarves are smaller than standard 28mm men. Very well done!

Dremmel the head off of Merry. The carefully dremmel down from his shoulder leaving the arm and as much of the cloak as you can, but removing the front armor. Saw Thorin in half at the waist and then slowly and carefully cut off his upper torso until it roughly fits into the spot opened on the horse. Sculpt with gree stuff. Cutt off sheath and add the oakenshield for added detail. That would be my start for the conversion.

Great idea! I'd expect GW would release the dwarves on ponys but they haven't done thus far.

I'm looking forward to this conversion
