Hi guys, this is my first post on the one ring!

I got back into LOTR SBG late last year and have been lurking on this forum since then.

I'd been reading all of you guys' posts and got the urge to get involved myself. I hope to keep this thread updated as often as possible, to showcase my progression as a painter.

With that said, i've probably not chosen the best miniature to show where i currently am with my painting. Not sure about you guys who have painted this chap, but i found his sculpt (or at least the cast i got) to be somewhat difficult, Parts of the helmet missing, gaps and most frustratingly i found the cast of his face to be well, horrendous (is this just my model or is this a common issue?
Anyways, here is my Eorl!

(Please excuse the photo quality!)

Since the Face on Eorl was a disappointment, i thought i'd add one of the Rohan-esque miniatures i like from "Gripping Beast" as an example of where my Face painting is up to.

I'm absolutely open to, and welcoming any comments, critiques, criticism and any helpful tips!

Welcome to the One Ring and nice job on Eorl ! Looks like you did a good job picking out the details, and I also liked your creativity with the wood effects on the base.

Keep posting pics, I would like to see more of your work :)

Thanks guys!
Though nothing has really happened with him yet, i thought i'd show who's next up on my paint desk!

The one and only... Eomer!
In typical fashion, the very first thing i did after opening him up, was ofcourse... snap the horses leg. a bit of pinning and green stuff later, he was in action and ready to get based up!

So, i know i said Eomer was next, but i found myself a little intimidated by him, so i decided to get to work on my erkenbrand first! Any tips for doing white well? i'm not too satisfied with my attempt!

So erkie is not quite finished yet, but i found the confidence to make a start on Eomer, here he is so far, but he is VERY wip at the moment, a lot left to do! (i also managed to miss a mould line on his face! very embarassing :/ )
