I've been playing the same list for a long time now, and figured I would run it by you guys. I mostly played against easterlings, but built it for all comers. I have almost every High Elf hero and about 60 more ekves I can change itoup with, but they aren't painted.

Warband 1:
High Elf Captain: bow,shield
4 warriors spear and shield
4 warriors bow
4 warriors elven blades

Warband 2:
Elrond
4 warriors spear and shield
4 warriors elven blade
1 warrior banner

I've had decent luck with it so far, what changes would you guys make or what would you add for higher points?

1. Drop the bow or shield on your captain as he can't really benefit from both or swap him for Erestor
2. Switch Elrond for Gil-Galad or Glorfindel or the twins.
3. Fill up your warbands, max out your bow limit, swap at least 4 of the blades for shields, then give horses to your heroes
4. Check out this thread for my views on High Elven heroes: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=27616

I read your write uo earlier, it's what gave me the idea to post my list. I do enjoy playing with Gil-galad, and Glorfindel a lot. I'll probably drop the bow since he's modeled with the shield. Any good suggestions for acquiring shields, other than buying spear elves?

Ditto everything he said and maybe take Gildor so you can bring wood elves as well

I'm wanting to stay high elf only, I have roughly 15000pts of lotr total and play high elves because they look amazing, and I dig the last aliance. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Searching for that user didn't show anything.

While I think Elrond does cost a few points too many, if you have had luck using him, keep him. That said I would really drop the banner to get mo' elves.

UKFB = Ukfreddybear. He is a mod so shouldn't be too hard to find.

That makes since, I believe ive browsed his site a time or 2.

I would rather drop Elrond over the banner, it just seems to do too much work. I've had really good luck with both, but Elrond is expensive. My banner normally gets his points back in re rolls per game.

I am of the opinion that banners are invaluable in any force that doesn't directly rely on outnumbering the enemy.

I believe a banner goes a long way to bolstering a high elf battle line due to their cracking fight value. Difficult to find the pts for but well worth considering.
