Post subject:  Dragon or Cave Drake?

Hi all
I've recently been inspired to make some kind of dragon or cave drake by Garmenhord's awesome work over on his WiP thread.
I'm making one due to their thematic coolness and also to boost my moria army
which leads me to this question:
which one is better for gaming?

has anyone got any good experience with dragons and cave drakes?
please share what you think is good/bad about them to help make up my mind :)

thanks in advance :-D

With Cave Drakes, these are awesome, but for the tactics: first try to get the enemy's best heroes out of fate, then swallow them with your Drake. I think the Drake is a better choice.

Drake doesn;t cost as much and won't run away. I prefer drakes, but dragons can be a total game changer if you have used them. Get a drake, use it as a drake, then proxy it as a dragon and see which one suits you better :)

Dragons are more powerful, but Drakes (as marsbar says) are cheaper and more reliable.

I vote Drakes because though powerful, using one badly at 800-1,000pts doesn't auto-cost you the game.

:puppy: " been inspired to make some kind of dragon or cave drake by Garmenhord's awesome work" don't exagerate
Curious to what u will make of it. I was inspired by some real awesome work from the tomes of wisdom section.
My base isn't really the same size of an official dragon or drake. So i won't game with it, i don't have the rules either i think :-)
Good luck :!:
