I'm 99% sure he used a war hammer at some point in his life, which is one of the reasons he was named "Hammerhand".

No he is called Hammerhand because he struck a man dead with a single blow.

I know that's the primary reason, but I'm pretty sure he did use a warhammer when he went all "snow troll" on the Dunlendings.

He just strangled people when he went snow trolling, that's how he came by the myth that if he bore no weapon no weapon could bite him.

Galanur: Thanks for your profiles! Interesting ideas. :)

truck22: Thengle and Aldor the Old profiles? Cool! Yes, I think Grimbold should have a horse. He's Rohirrim after all. A few Scenarios you say... Sure! As long as they are good reflections of the books and/or films. 8)

Wan Shi Tong & Draugluin: I have to agree, I don't think Helm wielded a hammer in battle, there is nothing to suggest this in Tolkien's writing, as far as I know. The hammer idea is mostly inspired by the hammer held by the Helm statue in PJ's TT film, which I think is more a symbolic metaphor, and not the actual weapon he carried. His name is "Helm Hammerhand" (like "Helm Hammerfist") not "Helm Warhammer"! Lol. :-D

Keep up the ideas lads!

His "Hammerhand" seems more like the Weapon Master rule to me - he can never be disarmed.

For the Pelennor Théoden whatever his stats I think he should get a troop upgrade so he can make royal guard into household knight. Think royal guard with armored horses and lances. It's the best thing for him regardless of a stats change he would be a priced piece to bring just for his troops similar Grimbold. That way he is not trying to fill the same role as Eomer so they aren't competing directly.

Isilduhrr: That's and idea. 8)

Wan Shi Tong: That is really awesome! Really like the idea that he can upgrade the Royal Guard. I will certainly put some kind of upgrade like that for him! Thanks a lot! :-D

Scenario idea:
The Death of Kings(Mini-game)
Priority:
The priority works as usually in sbg.
Movement:
The models can move d6" each. Moving follows the normal rules
Shooting:
Any model with a missile weapon on its model can shoot.
Fighting:
A player controlling a model in a fight must choose if it is going to attack vertically or horisontally, and the same options for parrying. The opponent must choose from the same alternatives. Then, the player with priority must reveal his way of attack, and the other one the way of defence, repeat in the different order, i. e the other player reveal his attack and... You get the idea. If the way of defence is the same of the opponents, nothing happens. Otherwise, your hero suffers wounds equal to the strength of your opponent.
Well, that is it, any ideas?

Just an idea -

I would have a different profile for different ages, an old Theoden with 2 attacks and no Fate, with Stand Fast covering 18"

A young Theoden with say 3 attacks and 3 fate with a Stand Fast of 8"

I have always wanted some special comapnies.
E.g ..who gaurds those beacons on the mountain tops through Rohan? Gondorians? Rohirim? Are they vetrans or old men or young men?

How about some more strong woman warriors?

What if the peasants actually arm them selves with a few basic weapons and defend themselves? The old men and boys at helms deep?
When the wildmen rampage though the villages... whats the profile for the women and children and can you protect? Would be great to have some scenarios.

What about those stone statues that supposedly watch... there in Rohan. And include some Hourons?

They were Gondorians. No info on veterans or not.
There weren't that many. Eowyn was basically the only one that I can think of, although I guess Galadriel fits as well.
That would basically be the Rohan profile we have now, they're pretty much just militia.
The statues are just that, they weren't built by the Rohirrim, they're just there.

There are statues watching Sam as he ventures into Cirith Ungol, which is what Dior may mean?

I assume he meant the Pugel Men, which were built by the Woses I think, and didn't have any power or significance.

Thanks pal! I cannot even take any credit as the great people here are helping so much!

truck22: Sounds interesting! Maybe a brief description about the background and the aim of the game? Participants? How does the board look? :)

Dikey: Thanks nice profile! I myself would give him a Courage of 6, and perhaps more special rules.

Harfoot: That's a cool idea! Maybe even a Thèoden Bewitched? :-D
Elladan came up with the idea of adding Grima's Thugs in Edoras, (the rough looking guys who beat up Eomer and try to beat up Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli in the TT film) who count as Evil and can attack Rohirrim but cannot be attacked back until Théoden's spell is lifted. He wants to draw them up.

Dior: I like the idea of the armed peasants and farmers, I probably will include something of that sort. Women and children would have scenario rules. Helms Deep Veterans and Hourons might be nice as part of a specific Helms Deep scenario? 8)

Draugluin and Isilduhrr: I think those are the Pukel men near Dunharrow. I don't think they could have profiles.

Thanks all! 8) Anybody got any ideas about specific scenarios? Like Helm's Deep, or The Fords of Isen? A campaign maybe? Also any profile ideas for the likes of Fram, Aldor the Old, Brego etc.?

Cheers

Elrohir

also for scenarios maybe one featuring Thorongil, performing deeds for Thengel, Theodens father? could be interesting

Quote from Wikipedia (I hope its ok to use it here? please remove if not)

"His tasks helped to raise morale in the West and to counter the growing threat of Sauron and his allies, and he acquired experience that he would later put to use in the War of the Ring. Aragorn served his lords during that time under the name Thorongil (Eagle of the Star). With a small squadron of ships from Gondor, he led an assault on Umbar in 2980, burning many of the Corsairs' ships and personally slaying their lord during the Battle of the Havens. After the victory at Umbar, "Thorongil" left the field, to the dismay of his men, and went East."
