I agree with Drauglin here, Aragorn needs to ignore all terrain penalties bar climbing and jumping, Anduril should not give +1 to win though, count as a banner in the fight yes
Boromir horn of gondor as warhorn... which it is in the books(should be) and make him cause terror when he uses it for the following turn

First, I would remove the penalty for throwing weapons. I mean, they are throwing weapons: made to be thrown. I understand that moving and shooting with a bow is harder than shooting while still, but javelin aren't!
This makes things much harder for Rohan.

Secondly, and that's probably only me, I would remove those brutal power attacks. This is a rule who benefits greatly the evil player. My point is, with the new warband system, is much easier for the evil player to fit a monster in. You can put a troll in a warband led by a mere orc captain, take a Troll Captain, or give a Fell Beast to a Nazgul with no problem at all. I have rarely seen an evil army without at least one monster.
Good players, on the other hand, have to ally either with Radagast's Alliance or the Wanderers in the Wild, which means finding a suitable hero to lead the warband. You have to spend more points.

In the end, I believe that only elves and evil player gets benefits from The Hobbit rules.

I agree about the throwing weapons, especially as you get more power and accuracy with a javelin in real life when you do a run up.

I dont think that monster rules greatly benefit evil. Sure, more of their stuff fits in well, but you have Gwahir and eagles, Treebeard and Ents. You can fit Beorn in every army as well. Not to mention bad guys dont have a cheap flying creature. Sure, fell beasts are cheap, but you have to pay for a wraith to use them.

Monster rules have made the game far more fun, dramatic and are far more realistic for monsters.

Being able knock over an entire shield wall is just too awesome to take out. They have also really benefitted the more expensive monsters, the Balrog especially, enough to make them worth their points.

Thats absolutely true. Also, Isengard trolls. And cave trolls to an extent.

I always found Isengard trolls worthless. But with the new rules, they fit their points better.

And cave trolls....yeah they have good fight and 3s, but their defense made them slightly fragile against elites.

Now, if they win, they can get some of those strength 4 guys off their ass.

I also think that Burly and Weapon Master need to be more common special rules. Specifically: Amdur, Elrond, Glorfindel and the Knight of the White Tower need WM and Grimbold and Thrydan need Burly.

I'd give Amdur at least a Third attack. Ok, he's a banner, has a 50% chance of standing still instead of getting knocked. But he's still expensive. Adding weapon master would be more than right for someone who is introduced as the Elité of a Warrior Class.

As for monsters, I really HATE the Rend brutal attack. Throwing people around could be funny. But a monster can now wound nearly anyone on a 3+. Better than Anduril.

Once at a tourney, I played Isengard, and the three trolls ripped through my Uruks including ferals with fury like water. I was in shock. Before that, I didnt know much about rend.

The thing about rend is that it can only be used against one target, so using rend against troops is pretty useless.
