Playing my friend tomorrow and our chosen game type is Lords of Battle, now I'd really quite like to play a Large Minas Tirith force but obviously this can be counter productive in Lords Of Battle. So any tips or tricks I can try to keep my casulties low etc? If it helps I think i'll be up against either high elves or uruk-hai. Cheers

I have beaten Isengard more than Iv lost using Gondor in Lords Of Battle.
Fountain court Guard are a must with a few Citadel guard near your hero, either Faramir or Boromir (They get the Fight Value Bonus).
Then also Have Beregond with his STR3 bow to target leaders.
A cheap hero (Madril) leading 6-8 Rangers with spears will let you pick off the low defence models before you even get into combat, Then once in combat the rangers can support with their spears and add their F4 to the fight.

A few knights with lances are a great berserker killer!!!

Beregond, Faountain court and Citadel Guard all have body guard so If you get broken they automatically stay around.

Let me know how you get on

Gondor has a massive advantage over High Elves, and a massive disadvantage over Isengard. Take Fountain Guard for their high defence, Boromir mounted with Knights, and an Avenger bolt thrower - this allows many shots while keeping your numbers low. Citadel Guard bowmen are great against elves but useless against Uruk Hai. if you take Osgiliath Veterans or Fountain Guard and Boromir with his banner then you'll have a rock-hard infantry centre, beating fights with Uruk Hai and equaling Elven fight value, and high defence means they won't be wounding even when they do win.
