Hi,

A combo that I wanted to run in the old rules but couldn't due to the old ally rules seems to be allowed:

namely Galadriel protector of Lothlerien + army of the dead member of your choice. She reduces the courage of any evil model within 6 inches by 1 which aside from being very nice with terror from the ghosts as a solid part of evil is C2, reducing them to C1 means they need a 9 to charge certainly means they cannot guarantee to mob me and I am killing on 3's once I've actually won the fight.

Not entirely sure what else I want to run, but ghosts can now take spears and banners.. so I could get enough attacks to actually win the fights though I was thinking of pairing them with some human's to help out or something.

Any idea's?

I like this idea too. Now that, under the new rules, this would be allowed, I think an army of the dead front row w/ Galadhrim w/ bows and spears in the second file and Gaurds of the Galadhrim court in the third file. I know, it's an expensive list but I have a hard time seeing how evil would bust it. Maybe only w/ #s....

Answer: The Haradrim. The Mumakil doesn't need to check courage to charge or trample, and the Watchers of Karna have nerves of steel.

Galadriel, Protectress of Lothlorien is apart of the White Council list. If I am thinking right, she can not take warriors with her? This would mean she would be a separate warband and would be 125pts for a single (albeit powerful) model. So I think it might work but you will be low on model count.

WotD could have banners for years. Its the spears and shields that are new.

And the AotD would eat the Mumak not vice versa, the AootD have high enough courage to charge it en mass, with spear support, (they would need another heroes might) and then as the Mumak is a coward, they can strike it with eases.

Depends on who moves first. In one battle I trampled 15 AotD in one turn and since they had moved already, they couldn't charge me. The next turn I got priority and trampled another 15 or so. It then won the fight on a 6 and killed 4 more. It kept squashing the already dead spirits until we ran out of time.
