Just a quick question. Rangers can take a spear as well as having a bow & sword...

What I want to know is this... how do they use their equipment in game? Do they lose either their bow or sword, or if not, can they support a model/fight with their spear on the same turn they fire their bows?

Nothing happens to their other weapons. If you check the Wargear section in the rules you'll see they can't provide spear support if they have shot in the Shoot phase.

are you sure? I was under the impression that if a ranger is spear supporting another model he can shoot, and if the model is attacked, spear support.

I'm sure...that if you read the Wargear section of the rules, as noted, you'll come to the same conclusion I did.
