They gained access to shields in the Gondor in Flames/ RotK supplement. They can have them for the standard price. I'd suggest using them, it makes your Knights a fair amount more survivable against the average foe.

I never understood the lack of shields with KoMT. Can you imagine any self-respecting knight of the guardians of the West *not* having a shield?

Apparently the official reasoning was that Faramir's men didn't have them when they got slaughtered charging Osgiliath. I seem to remember half of those men being Rangers though.

Anyway, it's certainly a welcome addition and a few of my old WoMT got cut up so I could give their shields to my metal Knights :-D

Any of the spearmen with their shield mostly away from their body or the one swordsman whose shield is completely away from his body work well. Try carving into the ones with their shields held in front of their bodies and you're likely to end up with no shield and no WoMT. I learned this the hard way :(

well i have a few partially chopped up womt (heads, arms, legs missing that kinda stuff) so i'll start with them.

as for the pose, it doesnt really matter much, im just gonna carefully remove all the bits that stick out from behind the shield, until i have 1 squarish piece of plastic with a shield design on one side. once ive done that, i might even try my hand at casting some new shields. GW cant sue me for that right?
