Post subject:  Easterling questions (SBG)

Hey folks. Hope this is the right place for the question, though this maybe should go in the beginners section.

I was surfing around reading a bit about easterlings and some variation seems to be going around.

1. Easterling captain. In my rulebook (MoM version) it is stated that the easterling captaion comes with a easterling halberd, but in the LOME army list program thingy i downloaded from this site it costs 5 points to get it. So if I follow my rulebook its 50 and with LOME program 55. The rulebook is official but was printed ages ago and I have no idea whats in the sourcebook.

2. The GW online shop description about easterling warriors spears sounds like that they are pikes, though they can still use shields. My rulebook does not mention this(again MoM version).

Would be nice to know what is correct before buying any models and sourcebook

#1 go by LOME as it is the latest incarnation of the points, also have a quick flick through the shadow in the east sourcebook, it'll hopefully confirm it for you :)

that the point. after mom came out a shadow in the east came, and changed some things. the gw site is correct concerning rules, and you mentiond a LOME PROGRAM? do you mean the spreadsheet? if so, the point values there are correct, if you use the latest rules(wich can be found on the GW site).

hope this helps :)

If you're looking to collect an Easterling army, I would advise that you buy the Shadow in the East sourceboook. It'll have all the rules you need and has the acurate points costs. :)

I'd also advise you not to rely on the points found in LoME, it is outdated and many of the points costs are wrong. Try to use the appropriate sourcebook whenever possible.
