Hello, I just started collecting the lotr miniatures from gw and didn't quite play a serious game so far. I made an army list and I would appreciate your help with advice about it. Because I have the Mines of Moria box i thought to make an moria goblins army. Here is the list: 1 x cave troll(club & chain) 1 x cave troll(spear & chain) 8 x moria goblin warriors(swords & shields) 8 x moria goblin warriors( spears ) 8 x moria goblin warriors( prc bows) 1 x moria goblin captain ( sword & shield ) In total 326 points and 27 models. Do I need one captain for 12 models so 2 captains for the goblins and one for the trolls ? Should i get Groblog, King of the Deeps and the Moria Goblin Commanders set? I have seen some nice lists on the forums but can't find the models on the GW site. Do you know a shop in Europe that has vast Lotr merchandise from where I can buy?( for example Mahud King) I hope the US version of ebay is not my only solution. Thank you! |

Welcome to the site! In answer to your question, yes, you'll need one captain/ hero to lead every 12 troops so yeah, 3 captains. Groblog and a commanders box is a brilliant idea as you get a shaman, which personally, are vital. I'd also recommend picking up the moria and angmar sourcebook before it is too late. There may be indie sites online that have small stocks of oop metals but most of them have probably been raided by now. Ebay or the trading threads here are you best bet. I have also had success on facebook trading pages, managed to get a 16 grey company for £20. Hope that helps. |

Welcome to the site. I just wanted to ask if you wouldn't mind removing the individual units points cost. The army total is fine but we just don't want to get anyone in any trouble with GW. As to what you need SD has given great advice, I'd also recommend Durburz as he's the strongest Goblin hero. And as to the Mahud King, good luck lol. That's a very sought after piece. I finally got my hands on a mounted one as I had already had the foot version for quite some time |
