Post subject:  Breaking Fights

Hi,

Played a game last friday and encountered another newbie situation that i hope someone can help me out with.

If faced a situation like below

Men Men
ORC ORC

The middle orc is touching base with 2 men and one orc is touching base with 1 men. Now the person with priority will break the fight. So if he breaks it as 2 men VS 1 orc then what happens to the Orc at the right hand side? He does not fight at all? Since the Men the Orc touch based with already took part in another fight.

thank you

It would be split into 2 one on one fights. A model in base contact with an enemy must fight.

Hi,

So no matter what happens the rule of breaking a fight is always ensure
base contact model must be involved in a fight am i right?

So meaning i can actually use such way to avoid my men from being attacked by 2 orcs at the same time then?

Yes. If a model is base contact with an enemy it must fight. So if one of your guys get trapped by 3 models, another one of yours could charge and split off the enemy.
