Post subject:  Heroic Actions

So I finally got around to reading (partially reading) the Hobbit EFGT rulebook last night and now I'm slowly digesting the rules. At the minute I don't have access to the rulebook but I can give it a look when I get back home so maybe I'm missing something obvious here.
Maybe it's rule overload combined with a serious case of fatigue but the rules for heroic actions don't seem to be sinking in properly.

1) Do heroes (and any models in 6" who decide to follow him/her/it) who complete a heroic move during the enemy's priority also get to move when it's their turn thus moving twice?

2) Is heroic march only to be completed when it's your turn to move and not "out of priority" like a heroic move?

3) Does heroic shoot (I think that's what it's called) take place "out of priority"? (I'm assuming it does otherwise it's useless but I remember the wording being ambiguous).

4) Just to clarify, what are the heroic actions that, if successful and unchallenged by an opponents heroic actions, are taken "out of priority"?

Many thanks in advance.

Ok basically, all heroic actions must be declared at the start of the phase in which they occur, heroic move must be called at the start of the move phase, heroic accuracy must be called at the start of the shoot phase etc etc

One thing to look out for because of this is when an enemy hero near one of your heroes calls a heroic fight, you have to call your counter-heroic strike (if necessary) at the same time, you cannot do it once the enemy hero is up in your grill.

And no, heroic move does not let any models move twice, it let's them move first. Keep in mind a model can only be affected by 1 heroic action per turn.

1.) nope, can only move once and any models within 6" of the hero who don't move during the heroic forfeit their move.

2.) correct, call it at the same time as heroic moves but happens first in when your turn to move.

3.) heroic shoot allows you to shoot before your opponent

4.) heroic channelling, march and I guess strike, if I have understood your question correctly.

I think or the last question, you mean the actions which change the order of priority. That would be heroic move, heroic shoot, and heroic fight

Thanks everyone. That was what I was thinking but I just wanted clarification.

@LordElrond. Yeah that's what I meant. Actions that change the order of priority.

Now I just need to finish a board and i can get playing!

Don't forget that Heroic Move, Heroic Channeling and Heroic March all have to be declared at the beginning of the Move Phase. This is often forgotten by players.

This means for example that you have to decide you want to Channeled Transfix an enemy model before anything has even moved.

So what you are saying is, lets say I have Azog on his warg and hes basing a regular dwarf 9" away from Kili. I call a heroic combat with Azog at the start of the fight phase. Lets say that Kili is not based with anyone at that point. As soon as I call my heroic combat, the dwarf player would have to call a heroic strike on Kili even though hes not fighting anyone? just incase he needs to increase his fight value on the off chance that I choose to move into Kili with Azog once I slay the dwarf I am based with.

Now that being said ( lol) stick with me here... Does Kili have to roll his d6 fight value at the begining of the fight phase, or later if and when his combat happens? If he has to roll it before my combat is even resolved, that would affect my decision to charge him or not, if I know hes like fight 9 that turn, i'd head into a different dwarf. Seems kind of cheese

Yes, Kili would have to declare heroic strike at the start of the phase even if he wasn't fighting anyone if he anticipated that you'd charge with Azog and wanted to increase his F value.

Heroic strike does not break the priority sequence, so you'd roll for Kili's Fight value when it's his turn to fight, not the start of the phase.

decisions, decisions. Gotta love SBG. :-D
