Is The Lord of The Rings Rulebook (the 50 euro one) better then the small one in The Mines Of Moria box set? Just wandering wich one to get, big book had more background? but The Mines Of Moria book comes with starter army.... kinda torn here, any advice? ( I already have a balrog and close to 100 goblins..bough cuz i liked the models) |

I prefer the hardcover rulebook, but the army lists in it dont really account for much anymore. So its your call really |

It depends, the small rulebook is easy to carry and with all the rule changes most profiles are changed (I think). I have send you a pm, and perhaps I have a small rulebook you can have. Let me know! |

So the small book is just as usefull as the large one? All i care about is the rules, army lists come from armybooks...already have Kingdoms Of Men/Fallen Realms (cool models for just collecting even if not played) and thinking about getting Moria and Angmar (loved the goblin swarms in lotr movie) |

The small book has all the rules, in fact they are page for page the same as the big book. All you're missing are profiles (which are all now covered in the new releases), painting and other hobby tips, and some older scenarios. I wouldn't bother with the big book at this point if you're interested in a Moria army and/or want some Fellowship models. |

I agree with whafrog- if you don't want the 'extra' stuff that you would find in the larger book, then go with the smaller one. And acquire a few more goblins while at it. |

But if you want to smack your opponent with a heavy object the small book wont do the job |

Yes, the hardback is a wonderful self-defense-tome. |
