What is a D6 strength 8 hit? Using the ballista what damage is that? Thankyou

Well D6 strength 8 hits means you roll a dice and whatever number it lands on is the number of hits. They hits are at strength 8.

Sorry to ask again but im new to this, so if i roll a D6 and roll say a 4, thats 4 hits at strength 8? what does the strength 8 part mean, how many are killed by that shot?

It's kind of difficult to explain. Do you know how the Wound Chart works? The Ballista uses that.

its near the end of the one ring book, but I am not sure where it is in legions. You basically cross reference the strength of the hit, (in the case of the ballista 8) with the defense of the target, it should explain this in the part of the rules that deal with fighting and shooting.

ahh im playing war of the ring! i understand everything as regards rolling to hit ect.... however say if i roll a 3-5 on the ballista chart it says i hit with D6 strength 8 hits and cant find what that is, thanx for any help, its annoying me haha
