When you mix the green stuff together (the yellow & green part) it will harden normally after an hour + depending on the room temperature. |

I'm sure I heard somewhere there's no need to wait for it to set before you paint it, at least for small stuff like gap/joint filling. I routinely paint over it pretty much straight away, without problems. At least with a black undercoat... you sometimes wonder whether what you have done with the putty will look right, once painted - will you be able to see the join...? So I usually quickly black undercoat, just to check it out... |

Agreed that you can safely paint small patchwork relatively quick. If you did anything significant (large gap in join on a big model) I'd wait at least an hour or so. If you have sculpted a replacement arm give it a day. |
