Hi guys

I tried playing the first scenario in EFGT mainly using the quick start rules and it got a bit messy.

[Basically there is a narrow bridge inbetween two platforms. Four dwarves start on the back edge of one and have to get to the opposite edge of the other within ten turns. The goblins start on the other platform and have to try and delay or kill two dwarves.]

Anyway there are a few rules which I couldn't find/understand.

In a fight between two goblins and a dwarf, lets say the goblins roll a 6 and 1 and the dwarf rolls a 2. Do both goblins get to try to wound or only the one who won the roll off?

How about if the second goblin was only supporting as per the chittering horde rule?

Also with regards to the loser is moved an inch back. Is this directly away from the attacker or just to wherever there is space? If it's the first option and there is more than one attacker which one does he move directly away from?

I'm probably over thinking these and the answer is right in front of me somewhere but I for the life of me I can't see it at the moment.

Hi , I played this scenario before and to answer your question:

Both goblins get to wound the dwarf providing they are in range and the i believe the chitering horde special rule only applies like spears , and not like pikes only a row of two may fight the opposing player.

Duel works in a way that is you use the men you have to fight with to push to win that Duel , once you have won any models who gave an attack also can wound but you can only roll once.

Move back in any direction , inch back from the fight in general. if they can't they become trapped , I believe it however if you lose the fight and only way to move back is too fall off the two bridges = end game.

When i played this Scenario i did not let myself get trapped at the edge of the bridge and subsequently did not get pushed off the bridge.

Thats all the advice i can give , sorry if its not as helpful as it could be. Ive only played the Scenario once and not in GW store.

Hey,
In regards to the first question, if you win a fight then all models in the fight can strike blow against the loser. So if there were two goblins in base contact and one had spear support as per the chittering horde rule. If the goblins won the fight they would strike three blows.
As for the second, when a model is forced to back away they can move an inch in any direction they want.
Hope that helps :)
