Black Guard of Buhdur

I wanted to expand my collection to include the Black Guard of Buhdur, but was unable to order it through GW eventhough it was on their website. Does this mean that the figures will be available in plastic or resin soon? Or does it mean it has been discontinued? Anyone have a possible explanation? Thanks.

i got all excitied about some new race of trolls lol. Black guard of Buhdur would be awesome (cave trolls with shields, can you imagine?) Obviously you mean Black guard of Baradur. Yep, finecast now

the only one which may have major issues is the banner bearer.

Notice the price increase of the models to :p
I was in a gw shop last time and they said : no no you are wrong price will be the same......

Well price is increased 10 euros :p (cave drake)

they are avaible to pre-order off the website with the release date being 18th August. Whether they will be in your local GW I do not know.

Are you planning on getting the Command box?

If so could you give us a write up about the "extra" guy you get w/ it. I am currently planning on making Black Guard my next purchase and would greatly appreciate any info (regarding pose/gear) on the 4th model in the command box.

Having looked at the picture, the 4th guy looks like a regular from the blister of warriors.

Real shame. Least they could do is throw the dynamic pose of the one with the sword out--could at least have a fighting chance at a mod then.

Thank you Southern Dunedain for the pictures! I will purchase a warband at the local store once they become available. Yes, I could pre-order, but I am already waiting for my metal Black Numenoreans to arrive.

On the product descriptiion only 1 Captain is mentioned, alongside drummer and banner. If you were hoping for a new model your head must've been in the clouds, I think, or still ensorcelled by GW. If you wanted proof the 4th was a Warrior look at the Warhammer metal ones, if they have any left.

The Metal version Command group only came w/ 3 models. Hence the curiosity behind the 4th guy. It seems clear now that the 4th "commander" is a regular guy and this is just an excuse for them to charge us the consumer the same price as the other Command groups. Shameful.

Not really, it looks nice with one regular guy, and beside, the Black Guards are more elite than any of the other Commanders, and ability does factor into cost, also Black Guard commanders used to cost more than any of the other commanders but now they all cost the same.
