Post subject:  Trustworthy eBay Products?

Hey guys, I've been looking through eBay and found some really nice products. I just want to know your opinion on it. I won't tell you guys specifically what product it is in case any of you steal it

Anyways, just wanted to know if any of you guys would trust an item selling about 30 products originally worth around 80 US dollars for around 20 dollars instead? Is it also okay to trust other items that have been primed or painted already?

This is probably going to be my first eBay purchase so I'm still unsure if I could trust my source. I recently lost an auction for a Mines of Moria box set selling it at 50% off. :(

Thanks in advance!

Never had a problem so far, lots of people out there who just want to get rid of stuff they don't use anymore..
20 dollars are better than 0 dollars and 10 minis getting dusty..

Just make sure the seller got a good rating and go check his neutral/negative feedback..
And if it's bid price 20 dollars, chances are it's not going to stay there

Everything is through paypal on eBay so I say bid away and in the end if there's something wrong with your items eBay will sort it and Paypal will make sure you get your money back. Ive personally never had any serious problems, a few badly packaged models here and few broken ones there but thats it. If your still unsure after checking the sellers feedback you can ask him a few questions or ask for close up photos etc. Hope this helps! :)

I got a deal like that from a seller that had no rating. Luckily he lived near me so I bid and won. No response from mail for about a week so I forced the issue and paid by paypal. He finally responded wanting more money and he lived across the country so I couldn't pick up. So I put in a ticket and got my money back but what a nightmare.

I got it cheap because he didn't click would ship internationally. Not too many buyers in Canada. But the way ebay writes their user agreement sellers have the right to refuse... they just get negative feedback and a ban but they can always get hold of another account. My sister uses her son when she gets banned (customer demanded free product or ban hammer... vicious)

Just be aware that there are some ebay sellers that mold and recast GW miniatures and sell them as loose originals. I wont mention them by name but with a bit of detective work it isn't hard to work out which ones are doing it. They have the same minis available shortly after selling one set, same photos being used, lots of rare minis from the same seller etc. The quality isn't bad though so it is hard to notice. It may be one of the reasons GW have gone over to finecast to deter pirating minis.
