Sounds expensive. I think I pay about $10 for a 2'x4' sheet - that's not quite a square meter - of 3/4" foam at the local Home Depot. Although I have bought my last couple of sheets as 4x8 when I had a friend's truck. So I have lots left over.
Anyway, sounds like you have the right stuff - it's insulation foam here in Canada.
