Yes a free sprue all yours!

Sadly, I have to tell you that they are Elves...

Yes, first he giveth, then he taketh away.

Still, there are no images of the actual models yet, but I do plan on taking advantage. I'll post some pics when I see them in the flesh. Had a look at the pricing and it seems pretty good. 50 Elves and a Bolt Thrower for £30. Madness. Maybe someone should tell GW.

Also, Wayland Games is the exclusive UK distributor for Gamezone, and (Alan will love this) they are getting Secrets of the 3rd Reich and Incursion in!

John, when I looked at the title, I actually had the audacity to think YOU were giving minis away.

Can you believe how stupid some people can be? (No sarcastic retorts allowed.)

We were contacted by Mantic about a month ago and we plan to stock their items when they are due for release.

I believe we are being sent free samples as their release date gets closer.

Hmmm... seems interesting. They look a little like 40K Eldar by the helmets. I'll definitely look into the other races they do!

Run your eyes across these, chaps:

They look like WH40K Eldar but with fantasy weaponry. Hard as nails...

Product Information

Released September 14th 2009. A full regiment of 20 finely detailed plastic Elves armed with bows, including
Command figures. Mantic Games are a new games company launching their first Range, The Kings of War. We have visited Mantic to see whats what and can confirm their new figures are amazing. What is also amazing is the price... And each set comes with a foam lined storage case to keep your figures safe and sound.

Now, that sounds good. Depending on the quality of the case, I can see it being handy for all sorts of 28mm skirmish purposes, transporting Blood Bowl teams/Necromunda gangs etc.

At the moment I really don't like the look of them, but I've yet to see any really decent pics - not really interested even if they are good though - pity.

Oh man, I think I may have found my 4th Warhammer army! Sigmar, help me! :o

Now, they'd damn well better do more Elves with big swords. Not to mentions chariots, cavalry and dudes with huge axes and lion pelts 8)

Image of the front and back of the Elves Scouts sprue.

They are a comparable height to the plastic High Elf bowmen, not including the moulded on base, but a bit more anorexic looking.

Sprue includes -

two Bodies, one helmeted and one bare head, one left and one right bow arm, a right sword arm and a left dagger arm. There is also a quiver included.

Model is 25mm from foot to the top of the collar, so should be about 28-30mm with the head attached (My least favourite type of Elf...)

They would also work pretty well as Dark Eldar conversions IMO, with suitable weapons.
