New Saxon figures are up for pre-order. :D Not much detail at the moment, but like the Vikings I think they will be very useful.

I've thought about picking up the Vikings to use as Barbarians of Carn Dûm. Does anybody have a comparison shot or know how they compare scale-wise?

Scale is pretty much irrelevent when playing LOTR with other models as GW can't even keep to the same scale, compare plastic high elves with Madril for example or even worse the new Gondor command sets. These Saxons are not released yet so no photo's, can't even see any official photo's yet either. Although a bit heroic scale the Vikings will fit in fine with other 'large' LOTR models. I'm contemplating getting the Saxons as the Helmaningas (or whatever they are called :)) 44 is a bargin for £20 compared to GW's Rohan plus command at £21.50 for 27.
